Questions for Layla
Dear Layla, I hope you are here to read or someone may forward this to you. First of all, I wanted to thank you for your wonderful work you are doing and spreading the light and hope and love through this devastating times. I also want to thank you for sharing your personal and painful story, I am so sorry for your loss (please feel a loving hugh from the distance) . Hearing your grievance and feeling the love you have for your children I was wondering how popular and accepted the concept of martyrdom still is among the palestinian society and especially among women (wether becoming one themselves or wanting their children to be one) ? And how does this concept go along with their motherlovefeelings? How strong is the outside force (media, schoolbooks, Mosques , social pressure etc.) still enforcing it and how is it possible to avoid it ?
And on political matters: It was really a blessing to hear you tonight and a voice of peace got through. However, my impression is that palestinian political voices which advocates for true peace in the region don't get any international attention or promotion. All the forces seem to look only for the PA and Abbas , which quite. frankly does not seem to me like wanting to give up the fight against Israel at all. So do you have an idea on what we , in my case, in Germany can do to bring more awareness of such political peace movements to our politicians in germany?
Thank you for your time and may peace with you all the time,
Kathleen

Okay, I will try my best 😀
