Raymond Ibrahim is an expert in Arab and Islamic History and author of multiple books on the topic including The Sword and the Scimtar. 

 

Raymond joins Yasmine to discuss the origin story of Islam, Who was Muhammed? How did he start Islam? How did it spread across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe? How is this spread continuing into the US, Canada, UK, and Australia? 

Episode 2

Hamed Abdel- Samad is an Egyptian German author of many books including Islamic Fascism.

 

Hamed joins Yasmine to shed light on the ideology of political Islam or 'Islamism". How did this ideology develop? What were its roots? How do Muslims differ from 'Islamists' and how can we, in the west, defend the rights of Muslims while protecting ourselves from Islamists?

Episode 3

Dalia Ziadi.avif

Dalia Ziada, an Egyptian political pundit, writer, and dissident who had to flee her country because she spoke the truth about Hamas. She now serves as the Washington, D.C. Coordinator for the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP).

 

Dalia joins Yasmine to discuss the tactics of the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists. They will discuss how these Muslims perfected their ideological tactics through the Middle East, and how they are using those tactics on the West today.

Episode 4

Jay Solomon is the author of The Iran Wars: Spy Games, Bank Battles, and the Secret Deals That Reshaped the Middle East and co-author of The Free Press report How Qatar Bought America.

Jay joins Yasmine to discuss how Islamist governments like Qatar and Iran have spent billions of dollars infiltrating the media, education and governments in the West to control the narrative and spread their ideology.

Antisemitism and Islam

Loay Alshareef is an Arab Muslim peace advocate, historian, and social media influencer whose mission is to bridge divides between Muslims and Jews and to champion peace in the Middle East.

He will be joining Yasmine to discuss how antisemitic Muslims are spreading their hate to the west and how that hate is leveraged in the conflicts with Israel and Iran.

Democracy and Islam

Hussain Abdul-Hussain is a research fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies (FDD) and the author of the book The Arab Case for Israel. He champions immediate, unconditional, and comprehensive peace between every Arab nation and the Jewish state.

Hussain joins Yasmine to discuss his book and to share with us why he believes peace with Israel is the only path to progress in the Middle East.  They will also ponder questions around Islam and Democracy. Is Islam compatible with democracy? Does Popper's Paradox perfectly encapsulate the issue with immigration of Islamists to western nations? How can democracy defend itself? Is democracy inherently vulnerable to ideologies like Islamism?
