I just wanted to thank Layla for coming on and sharing her story. I sat at my kitchen table listening to the podcast and just wept. I totally agree that we need a real Truth and Reconciliation Commission where we all really listen to each other. We need to hear all the stories. No one should go through what Layla and her family went through. I feel honored to have heard the story of Qusay and his life cut so senselessly short. As a mother I can hardly begin to imagine the dimensions of the pain. The story of the dream of the dove really touched my soul.
