Sana Ebrahimi, 28, was born and raised in a devout Muslim family, she adhered to Islamic practices until the age of 18. Over time, Sana began to question the tenets of Islam and, subsequently, the broader foundations of religion. Her journey was not without challenges, as the government enforced Islamic rules, and her religious family considered women to be the "dignity of the family". Despite the challenges, Sana made the decision to leave Iran and explore new perspectives and opportunities beyond the confines of her previous environment. She currently pursues her Ph.D. at the University of Illinois Chicago.
