On Divisions in the Jewish Community
I mentioned this book in the live chat this morning. I've been spending a lot of time in Jewish Communities since Oct 7th to help deal with the antisemitism we're now seeing and there's quite a bit of talk between what are known as "Hellenistic" Jews (those who downplay Oct 7th, don't see an issue with DEI...) and the "Maccabee" Jews (those who well aware of the cause of the antisemitism and the failures in Jewish Leadership). Naya Lekht (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSv-w2uNqaI) and Zudie Jasser have contributed essays to it. I'll be moderating a panel on antisemitism in a few weeks. This book was incredibly informative for my own research. https://www.amazon.com/Betrayal-Failure-American-Jewish-Leadership-ebook/dp/B0C5ZQBVS7/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1VIDG51K50N1V&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.BhhXk_DfxeAKI8B7PgSuzA.L4uVVh2Vp6x1nEuxsp73rzEC7f0LD_B2COjZSVaqRX8&dib_tag=se&keywords=betrayal+the+failure+of+american+jewish+leadership&qid=1729272683&sprefix=betrayal+jewish%2Caps%2C215&sr=8-1

Regarding the ancient Philistines, modern Palestinians share nearly nothing with them but their name. Archeologists claim that their uniquely Greek genome disappeared by the 6th Century BCE.
As for the Amalekites, Jewish extremists frequently claim that the Palestinians are their descendants, and use that ridiculous claim to incite further violence against them, using Judaic scripture as justification.
